One of South Africa‚'s leading niche corporate firms requires an experienced senior Corporate Lawyer / Partner to lead their Cape Town office.

This is a unique opportunity to bring a portable book of clients and complement their existing strong corporate client base in the Cape Town area whilst leading the growth and development of the Cape Town office. You will have the opportunity to capitalize on a very active practice in general M&A and advises on a variety of significant deals for a client base including leading finance houses, corporates, financial institutions and resources companies. You will also be able to leverage off their HQ Joberg office and be joining a dynamic team boasting some of the finest corporate lawyers in the country.

The ideal candidate will have:

• have experience working extensively within the corporate space at a leading Cape Town firm
• possess minimum of 5 year PQE;
• possess a decent client following that will follow you.
• Have a decent appreciation of Afrikaans.
• have a mature and flexible personality and will be able to build and work with teams;
• possess strong interpersonal skills, facilitation, conflict management, change management, listening, responding, interpersonal, influencing and project management skills.

This will perhaps suit a Partner at a large or smaller law firm that may have reached a ceiling where they are and wants a challenging step up, working for a leading firm with access to top tier deals and client base yet retaining a boutique flexible environment.
